The weakness of September continued into October. The volatility in US Treasury rates had a negative impact on emerging corporate credits. Emerging sovereign bonds, on the other hand, held up better and ended the month with stable yields. They were supported by investment grade sovereign bonds, which benefited from a decline in the very long end of the US Treasury curve (20+ years).
